Crosslinking of macrochains in the degradation of poly(vinyl chloride)

摘要
The dependence of the onset time of gelation during the thermal degradation of PVC on the content of oxovinylene (carbonylallyl) groups was determined. Various schemes of macrochain crosslinking by the Diels-Alder mechanism involving polyene blocks, as well as internal and terminal unsaturated groups, are considered. The values of rate constants for the forward and reverse crosslinking reactions are estimated.
