Interdisciplinarity: a challenge for a basic scientific culture of the university student

摘要
The Cuban university is in trusted with the formation of creative and independent professionals, prepared for lifelong learning to respond to the country necessities. To accomplish this goal, it is of paramount importance to foster the research work, aimed at the development of a basic scientific culture. These ideas generate the objective of the proposal, which is the elaboration of a methodological strategy, devised for the treatment of research skills in the Education English Language Major, taking into account the interdisciplinary nuclei, following the integrative objectives of the different academic years, in accordance with the professional problems. The strategy presents the different phases that the teachers' methodological work should cover, ruled by the Main Integrative Discipline. The implementation of different scientific methods revealed the proposal pertinence, feasibility and applicability as well as the changes exhibited in the professors' methodological work and in the students' investigative results.
