Preparing thermal conductive CB/PP composites by PCS process and thermal-conductive property study

摘要
In particles composite systems (PCS), polypropylene (PP) particles were coated by carbon black (CB), forming core-shell composite particles. Then, by compression pressing moulding, interpenetration network thermal conductive composites with lower filling ratio but better thermal conductive properties were prepared successfully (with thermal conductivity of 2.39 W m(-1) K-1 at 15 wt-% CB). Thermal conductivity measurements were far above the simulation results from various models, such as Maxwell-Eucken model, Cheng-Vachon model, Russell model and Baschinrow Selenew model. Only Agari Y model fit the result well. The value of C-2 is beyond 1, indicating that the conductive channels are formed in the composite, as well. The reason is that CB is not simply discretely distributed in matrix, but is connected with each other. The CB reunites, even forms heat conduction CB phase which is not considered in other models. The PCS process provides a new method for preparing high conductive composite.
