Luminscence Features and Phase Structure of Benzophenone-Titanium-Dioxide-Nanoparticle Nanocomposite

摘要
The spectral and luminescence properties of the heterogeneous two-component composite benzophenone-TiO (2) -nanotubes (BP-NT) were studied in the temperature range 5-220 K. An analysis of the experimental data demonstrated that two structural modifications of benzophenone, amorphous and crystalline, existed simultaneously in the composite. The amorphous phase formed thin subsurface layers of benzophenone that were similar to 0.1-mu m thick in BP-NT. This thickness in the BP-NT composite was less than that in a benzophenone-TiO (2) -nanoparticle composite. It was found that triplet excitations were strongly quenched by the surface when the fi lm thickness became equal to the diffusion length of the triplet excitation. The results for the thin films and bulk benzophenone were compared.
