Publishing by United States Court of Appeals judges: Before and after the Bork hearings

This article empirically evaluates the publication habits of United States Court of Appeals judges before and after the 1987 Bork hearings by examining publishing trends during the years 1983-92 and then by performing a multiple regression analysis on the collected data. The analysis shows that publishing by court of appeals judges declined significantly following the Bork hearings.
