摘要
The rhombohedral distorted perovskite-structure BiFeO3 crystals and body-center cubic sillenite-structure Bi25FeO40 crystals were selectively synthesized through the modulation of reaction time via hydrothermal method at a mild temperature of 160 degrees C, directly utilizing bulk phase materials of Fe(NO3)(3) and Bi(NO3)(3) as reagents without any surfactants. The BiFeO3 sample consists of walnut-like microspheres with big holes on the surface. These microspheres are constructed by unordered flakes in a radiation pattern. The BiFeO3 sample displays weak ferromagnetic property at room temperature and the ferroelectric Curie temperature is determined to be 829 degrees C. While the Bi25FeO40 sample is composed of nanobundles and exhibits paramagnetic property. (C) 2009 Published by Elsevier B.V.
