We improve CW wavelength conversion efficiency by 10 dB in an optical waveguide consisting of 51 directly-coupled silicon microrings, based on electronic free-carrier sweepout using two reverse-biased p-n junction diodes on each microring resonator. (c) 2014 Optical Society of America
