摘要
This study conducted three-dimensional transient numerical simulations of molten pool behavior for the one pulse one drop mode in the gas metal arc welding process. A high speed camera and synchronized data acquisition system were used to capture the dynamic arc images, and the synchronized welding signals (current and voltage) of the one drop one pulse mode. The resulting waveforms and arc images were optimized with Fourier series, and then were applied to develop variable arc models, such as arc pressure, arc heat flux and electromagnetic models. This study conducted several simulation cases and compared the results with experimental characterizations, so it is possible to validate the simulation models. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd.
