摘要
Object-based storage (OBS) represents the development trend of next generation storage technology. Object-based storage system distributes its load into many object storage devices (OSD), each OSD's load characteristics have significantly different with usually servers and workstations, therefore the common file systems are not suitable for OSD storage management. This article describes the design and implementation of an OSD-side local object file system OBSFS. This is an object-ba(1)sed file system used B+ tree and continuous blocks (extent), it implements the quick find from object ID to properties and data objects, and after long-term operation, objects distribution on a single OSD continues to maintain a high degree of continuous, thereby improving I/O performance for a single OSD node.
