摘要
We live in a world of consumer culture: consumption drives western economies and when consumption declines, as it has during the current recession, economies suffer-not only the western consumer societies, but developing countries which create the consumer goods. While many recognize that consumption has manifested as a psychological addiction-"affluenza"-fewer have investigated the deleterious effect of consumption on the natural environment and advocated "sustainable consumption."
