摘要
A shunt type universal compensator is developed in the paper for improving the operation performance of a distribution-level microgrid with unbalanced DGs and loads. The control scheme of the universal compensator is derived from the symmetrical components method. With the on-line compensation of the proposed universal compensator, the operation performance indexes of the distribution-level microgrid, including voltage regulation, power factor, voltage and current unbalance ratios, are improved significantly. This paper introduces the development of the proposed universal compensator. Finally, a demonstration system is given to validate the effectiveness of the universal compensator.
