摘要
Magnetic fields effects on liquid-phase reaction sintering on MnBi were investigated. The liquid-phase reaction was so fast even in a zero field that the fraction of in-field sintered ferromagnetic MnBi phase was independent of the external magnetic field. However, the ferromagnetic MnBi crystals in the in-field sintered sample were oriented along the external magnetic field direction. The Lotgering factor of the infield sintered sample was 0.99. This result indicated that almost completely anisotropic MnBi phase could be obtained by in-field liquid phase reactive sintering. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
