摘要：

2-Hydroxyheptane-3,5-dione (1) was obtained from the petrol-soluble fraction (PE) of the ethanol extract of Potamogeton nodosus. Biological screening of PE revealed antibacterial activity and cytotoxicity. Compound 1 showed only antibacterial activity. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
