摘要
Engineering teaching can be made effective more easily than the teaching of scientific and mathematical theories, as it is the applied science. Out of all the engineering disciplines, electrical engineering deals with educating a common person's needs. Although the utilisation of electrical apparatus is common, the concept and theory behind Faraday's law and Ohm's law are not so easy to visualise because they are abstract concepts. In this regard, the teaching has to be more effective in order to help the student to visualise the concept and understand the working principles. Effective teaching/learning in turn means thorough and lasting acquisition of the knowledge, skills and values the instructor or the institution has set out to impart. The electrical engineering instructional strategies that are being adopted at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Anna University, in Chennai, India, are presented here. The domains of educational goals, well-formulated instructional objectives are also described and it is envisaged that these could be used in a model for institutions in developing countries like India.
