摘要
Investments in novel transport technologies often involve the use of large amounts of money. Therefore, the question arises whether the associated objectives, which are often not only of economic nature, can be achieved. One approach is to determine the expected costs and benefits in advance through simulation. This paper presents a framework which enables decision makers to determine the right Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure expected impacts of innovative technologies and to determine costs and benefits in various areas of sustainability such as economic, social, socioeconomic, climate-related, and logistics-related impacts. The work presented in this paper is based on a collection of requirements, available simulation methods and tools and a thorough analysis of available KPI systems in the context of an EU funded research project.
