First-order formalism for thick branes in modified teleparallel gravity

摘要
This work deals with braneworld scenarios with generalized teleparallel gravity. We extend a recent investigation, where the model studied was described by F(T) = T + kT(n). In the current study, we introduce the first-order formalism to find analytical solutions for models that include a scalar field with standard and generalized dynamics. In particular, we describe the interesting case in which the brane splits, due to the parameters that control deviation from the standard model.
