摘要
An ultra wideband slot antenna using coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed is proposed in this letter. The antenna consists of a hexagonal shaped ground slot and a rectangular radiating patch. Hexagonal ground plane provides a gradual variation in slot impedance due to tapered sections, resulting in wideband nature. The radiating patch is loaded with two notches accounting for ultra wideband nature. A metallic arm is embedded in the ground plane and is protruded into the hexagonal slot resulting in a frequency notch, thereby providing frequency isolation between WiMAX and WLAN band. The proposed antenna operates for entire ultra wideband range with rejecting the frequency band extending from 4.05GHz - 5.4GHz.
