Effects of Plant Growth Regulators and Several Conditions on Rooting and Shoot Growth in Rhizome Cutting of Acorus gramineus

摘要
This study was carried out to examine the effects of plant growth regulators and several conditions on rooting and shoot growth in rhizome cutting of Acorus gramineus. alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) and 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) were not effective in rooting and shoot growth. Rooting percentage and number of roots increased in the mixed media with 3:0:1, 3:1:0, or 2:1:1 of peatmoss:vermiculite:perlite (v/v/v). Rooting and shoot growth were better in 6 cm long cutting than the others, while it was considered that 3 cm long cutting was suitable for efficient propagation in rhizome cutting. No. of roots, root length, No. of leaves, No. of shoots, and dry weight of cuttings planted in I cm deep increased, and rooting and shoot growth decreased with increasing planting depth. When cuttings were planted with 50-75% shading condition, rooting and shoot growth was promoted.
