摘要
The aging response of Cu-Al-Ni single crystal shape memory alloys in the beta(austenite)-phase has been investigated. Two alloys, one in the martensitic condition (alloy M) and the other in the austenitic condition (alloy A) in the as-grown state at room temperature, were considered. Alloys were aged at three different temperatures (473, 523 and 573 K) in the beta-phase for the time intervals ranging from 10 min to 24 h. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and microscopy results show successive martensitic transitions (beta(1)' --> gamma(1)') in both the alloys and precipitate formation (gamma(2)) in the alloy A leading to an increase in the transformation temperatures and transformation hysteresis, with aging.
