A new 3D rtl-type Cd(II) framework constructed from 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid: Urothermal synthesis, crystal structure, and photoluminescent property

摘要
A new Cd(II) compound, namely [Cd-3(BTC)(2)(e-urea)(4)](n) (1 H3BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid, e-urea = ethylene urea), has been synthesized by the urothermal reactions of 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid and Cd(NO3)(2) and further characterized by elemental analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 features a three-dimensional (3D) framework based on trinuclear [Cd-3(COO)(6)(e-urea)(2)] subunits. By viewing BTC3-, trinuclear [Cd-3(COO)(6)(e-urea)(2)] subunits as 3-and 6-connected nodes, respectively, the whole framework of 1 can be simplified into a rtl-type topological network. Moreover, the thermal stability and luminescent property of compound 1 were also investigated.
