摘要：

A method of modeling and building transportation inventory systems of a Japanese company and its overseas joint company is proposed in an attempt to describe the systems flexibly in which a lot of kinds of items are ordered to transport, transported, and stored. The proposed system is written in Perl/CGI, and constructed by using the client/server technology. The company considered in this paper consists of the headquarters in Tokyo and a joint company in Taiwan, which has the headquarters in Taipei and five local distribution centers inside Taiwan. Transportation and inventory management can be performed inexpensively, because the system makes use of Internet communication. The proposed method is applied to the actual system, and it is found to be both practical and powerful.
