[GRAPHICS] A novel method for highly regioselective and stereospecific nucleophilic trifluoromethylation of vicinal diol cyclic sulfates, using the reagent derived from reduction of trifluoromethyl iodide by tetrakis(dimethylamino)ethylene (TDAE), is presented.
