ZnCl2-CATALYSED SYNTHESIS OF NOVEL 4-ARYLAZO-3-METHYL-1-(H/PHENYL)-1H-PYRAZOL-5(4H)-ONES

摘要
ZnCl2-Catalysed diazocoupling of 3-methyl-1-(H/phenyl)-1H-pyrazol-5(4H)-one 1(a-b), with aryldiazonium salts 2(a-h) affords the corresponding arylazopyrazolones 3(a-h) in good yields. All the synthesized compounds 3(a-h) have been characterized by UV-Vis, FT-IR & H-1 NMR spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis.
