A chaos-based model for fragile watermarking: Model development and simulation results

摘要
This paper proposes a chaos-based model for generating the watermark which depends on the host data. By using the chaos-based model, a semi-fragile watermarking technique that accepts JPEG lossy compression on the watermarked image is developed. Numerical simulations based on the proposed method employing logistic map are presented. Experimental results show that the proposed method can be sensitive to malicious attack while robust to the acceptable JPEG compressions and localize the tampers correctly. At meantime, experimental results for JPEG and other attacks on images watermarked by two different chaotic maps are presented together with a comparative study of them. The results show that the spectral properties of chaotic watermarks will reflect on the watermarking system performance, and efficient fragile watermarking methods based on the chaos-based model can be designed under certain conditions.
