摘要
The mission of sustainability in civil engineering education is exposed as a major must today. Addressed to the global village needs of economy and the odds of engineering and information technology, it forms - together with the notions of ethics, environment, aesthetics and heritage - the philosophical and material representation of the society's cultural landscape. Thus, sustainability imposes a considerable effect on the present design and maintenance of constructions. Paper underlines the spiritual side of those aspects - having a crucial impact on the sustainable development and the life of people, as a whole.
