Facile Synthesis of Fe, Co/Fe3O4 Nanocomposite and Its Magnetic Properties and Removal Ability for Congo Red

摘要
One-step reaction was designed to synthesize Fe, Co/Fe3O4 nanocomposite via a facilely and easily controlled hydrothermal method. There are rarely reports about synthesis of Fe, Co/Fe3O4 nanocomposite by a wet chemistry method. The Fe, Co/Fe3O4 nanocomposite was composed of about 30 nm of tiny crystal grains. The morphology and dimensions of the nanocomposite could be controlled by the reaction conditions. Moreover, the saturation magnetization of Fe, Co/Fe3O4 nanocomposite is 98.2 emu g(- 1), which is enough high for its future practical application in the water treatment. For 100 ppm of CR solution, the maximum of CR removal ability is 332 mg. g(- 1). The synergistic effect of the Fe, Co/Fe3O4 nanocomposite may contribute to the enhanced Congo red (CR) removal ability.
