Effect of neutron irradiation on properties of glassy carbon

摘要
Experimental data are presented on the effect of neutron irradiation (90-750degreesC. less than or equal to4 x 10(22) n/cm(2), E > 0.18 MeV) on the dimensions and properties of glassy carbon. The irradiation leads to a linear shrinkage of up to 8-12%, without secondary swelling. The radiation effects are anal zed in terms of the microstructure and properties of glassy carbon.
