The theorem of Stein-Rosenberg is generalized to the case of two M-splittings A=M-1-N-1=M-2-N-2, where the M-i are M-matrices and N(1)greater than or equal toN(2)greater than or equal to0, N(1)not equalN(2), N(2)not equal0. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
