摘要：
The paper discusses mismatches between accepted models for bubble nucleation, growth and heat transfer in nucleate boiling and the experimental evidence. It draws attention to ideas that should be revisited in the light of recent developments in experimental techniques and increases in computing power for simulation. The discussion is confined to boiling of pure fluids at low heat fluxes.
