Preparation of Nd2O3 nanoparticles by tartrate route

摘要
Well-crystallized Nd2O3 nanoparticles were prepared via neodymiurn tartrate complex using neodymiurn nitrite and ammonium tartrate as raw materials. The formation of the complex was identified by infrared (IR) spectrum analysis. The crystal structure and the size of the Nd2O3 particles were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The TEM images of the particles calcined at 600 degrees C revealed a clear crystal lattice and spherical shapes with < 20 nm in diameter. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
