Event-Triggered and Self-Triggered Control for Linear System Based on New Event Condition

Event-triggered control and self-triggered control have recently been proposed as an alternative to more traditional periodic execution control tasks. The possibility of reducing the number of executions while guaranteeing the desired level of performance makes event triggering and self-triggering control very attractive in sensor/actuator network environments. In this case, reducing the number of feedback control executions means reducing the amount of transmission, thus reducing energy expenditures. This paper describes two new distributed implementations of event triggering and self-triggering strategies on sensor/actuator networks. The usefulness of the results is illustrated through a numerical example.
