Tensile properties and fracture locations of friction-stir welded joints of 1050-H24 aluminum alloy

摘要：

The friction-stir welded (FSW) joints of 1050-H24 aluminium alloy were analyzed with the focus on the tensile properties and fracture locations of the joints. The specimens of Al alloy used for the analysis were cross-sectioned perpendicular to the welding direction from the joints by an electric discharge machine. The analysis showed that the variation in the tensile properties and fracture locations of the joints is related to the hardness profiles and welding defects in the joints.
