Applying GA Optimization Algorithm for Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Controller Parameters of Multivariable Anesthesia System

摘要
Controlling the depth of anesthesia is vital for avoiding underdosing and overdosing drugs during surgical procedures. Interval type-2 fuzzy logic controller (1T2-FLC) can be used for the automatic control of anesthesia that is able to overcome the uncertainty problem which is inherited from the large inter and intra-individual variability of the patient's parameters. Since finding the optimal set of rules is difficult, genetic algorithm (GA) is used for regulating the center of the output interval type-2 fuzzy sets in this paper. At last, the results of this controller are compared with pure 1T2-FLC. Simulation results show that 1T2FLC with GA affords some improvements in performance over pure 1T2-FLC.
