摘要
Excited states of Dy-156 were populated through beta(+)/epsilon decay and studied through gamma-ray spectroscopy at the Yale Moving Tape Collector. Extensive data led to improved information on the electromagnetic decay properties of low-spin states and to a substantially revised level scheme. The structural observables of Dy-156 are compared with those of the other nearby N=90 isotones and to predictions of the X(5) model for nuclei in the spherical-deformed transition region.
