摘要
Gliomas are tumors of the white matter. They are usually located deep within the skull and extend into the basal ganglia, though some are found near the surface of the brain. Calvarial erosion is known to occur with some superficially located tumors, mostly oligodendrogliomas. Only 1 case of low-grade astrocytoma causing calvarial erosion has been reported in the literature of the CT era. We report the first case of a low-grade astrocytoma causing calvarial erosion in an adolescent. Copyright (c) 2007 S. Karger AG, Basel
