摘要
A coal char, together with some pure carbons, were exposed to N-2 gas at ambient temperature, and they were subjected to temperature programmed desorption (TPD). A large amount of N-2 was desorbed from some carbons during the TPD, and the desorption temperature was surprisingly high ranging from 300 to 900 K. The amount of N-2 adsorbed on coal char upon exposure to air accounts for a substantial portion of the nitrogen content determined by elemental analysis.
