摘要
Trace distortion is a central problem in the trace driven simulation of memory hierarchies for parallel computer architectures. This paper discusses the Buffer-Based Synchronization Mechanism (BBSYM), a technique for dealing with trace distortion in the context of trace driven simulations of a multithreaded microprocessor. An approach for conciliating accuracy and performance is introduced.
