摘要
Runoff plots were established on bare soil classified as Dystric Nitosols (Typic Rhodudults) at Moi University Main Campus, on Uasin Gishu Plateau, Kenya. The objective of the study was to determine the best erosivity factor for the area. This was found to be EI30, defined as the product of the rainstorm's kinetic energy and its maximum 30-minute intensity with correlation coefficient of 0.88 and a mean annual value of 316.68 MJ cm ha(-1)h(-1). Other erosivity factors that show promise were A, Q, and I-30, defined as the storm's amount, the storm's runoff, and the storm's 30-minute maximum intensity with correlation of 0.71, 0.73 and 0.70 respectively.
