摘要
Radiation hardness of a 4 x 4 x 24 cm(3) PbF2 crystal has been studied for doses up to 10(5) Gy. Radiation resistivity was examined by the measurement of optical transmission through the lead fluoride crystal before and after gamma-ray irradiations. The results have been compared with radiation hardness measurements for a 4 x 4 x 40 cm(3) Pb-glasses SF5 and SF6 and a 3 x 3 x 6 cm(3) CeF3 scintillation crystal, as well. Complete recovery of radiation damage was observed a few day after the irradiations. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
