摘要：

This paper is focused on the role of finance in adult education as an important part of lifelong learning. This role is connected with the current understanding of important educational topics, with supporting of educational activities for adults and with the attitudes of adults towards learning opportunities. In all mentioned aspects the finance is of great importance: financial literacy has become one of the most frequent topics in adult education, financial support through the operational programmes of European Social Fund has significantly changed the current world of adult education, finance is the strongest barrier for non-participation of Czech adults in non-formal education.
