摘要
Power absorption by dipoles due to irreversible rotational motion is usually the dominant mechanism in microwave fields. Power absorption by dipoles also occurs in strong electric field gradients by a different mechanism. The equivalent volume power density is seen to be essentially proportional to the fourth power of the electric field.
