摘要
The possibility of enhancing the heat resistance of vulcanized siloxane rubbers by a montmorillonite-type organoclay was examined by thermal gravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The clay was modified with a quaternary ammonium salt to obtain an alkylated montmorillonite, as confirmed by IR spectroscopy. Samples of powdered bentonites and rubbers were examined by X-ray phase analysis.
