摘要
A series of chiral hydrogen-bonded liquid crystals (H-bonded LCs) and the analogous covalent-bonded (C-bonded) LCs with similar structures were synthesized to study the effect on the mesogenic behaviours and the performance for extending the temperature range of blue phases (BPs). The length of mesogenic core and the terminal chains were also considered to investigate these effects on the LC behaviours. Additionally, the influence factors of polymer-stabilized H-bond-doped BPLC on electro-optical performances were orthogonally explored. (C) 2016 Optical Society of America
