Antifungal potentiality of some higher plants against Pythium species causing damping-off in tomato

摘要：
Aqueous led extracts of Hyptis suaveolens, Murraya koenigii and Ocimum canum completely inhibited the growth of Pythium aphanidermatum and P. debaryanum in vitro. Soil amendments with the leaves of H. suaveolens, M. koenigii and O. canum controlled damping-off disease of tomato upto 100.0%, 55.6% and 33.3% respectively in soil infested with P. aphanidermatum and 100.0%, 55.3% and 77.8% respectively with P. debaryanum.
