摘要
This article researches the impact of sample shape, sample location and sample size on mechanical properties of titanium castings. The test takes samples from plate, bar, and sprue according to different wall thickness titanium material, and compare with samples which are from castings with identical thickness. The test result shows that the mechanical properties from different thickness of the plate material and castings at the corresponding wall thickness are very close. It can represent the performance of castings better. The mechanical properties of the plate samples which are from 1/4 thickness is slightly higher than 1/2 place, but the difference is tiny. Compared with the sample-plate of single castings, the mechanical properties being of the same thickness sample-plate with the macrocosmic castings are closed to the basic castings. The method of castings with samples can be adopted when produce some critical structure parts, big load parts or high pressure castings. For the samples with the same shape, the mechanical performance can be gradually reduced with sample size increasing.
