摘要：
In this letter, a novel dual-beam microstrip leaky wave antenna (LWA) loading symmetric stubs is proposed. The symmetric rectangular patches are designed to refrain from the separation of space harmonics. Consequently, there will be more space harmonic modes appear in the leaky-wave radiation region. This structure ensures that m = -1 and m = -2 modes are excited simultaneously. Therefore, dual-beam, in the far-field region, will be generated by the backward and forward propagation wave of these two modes. The presented design provides 45 degrees scanning range from -64 degrees to -19 degrees for backward, and 24 degrees in forward region from 23 degrees to 47 degrees. The region where return loss is less than -10 dB is from 14.17 to 21.53 GHz.
