Influence of initial energy on the effective secondary-electron emission coefficient in the presence of an oblique magnetic field

摘要
It is shown that in the presence of an oblique magnetic field the effective secondary-electron emission coefficient (gamma(eff)) depends crucially on the initial energy of the emitted electrons. If the initial energy is zero then gamma(eff) = gamma(0), where gamma(0) is the secondary-electron emission coefficient in the absence of the magnetic field. With increasing initial energy gamma(eff) decreases.
