摘要
The digital transformation is taking place rapidly, and Industry 4.0 has been a promising vector for the manufacturing area. Companies in the automotive sector have sought to implement Industry 4.0 technologies to improve their competitiveness, though not visualizing the benefits they can bring more broadly. Thus, the objective of this work is to verify what companies in the Brazilian automotive sector need to do to achieve benefits when they adopt Industry 4.0 technologies. This research followed a qualitative and exploratory approach by studying multiple cases in organizations of such sector. It used one of the Benefits Management (BM) theoretical approaches, Benefits Dependency Network (BDN). The results, in general, indicate that the surveyed companies seek to be competitive in the sector, where the adoption of these technologies seems to be an essential tool. Greater production efficiency with cost reduction and added value generation to customers through innovative solutions are the main expected benefits pointed in this research. Culture andmindset changes are crucial points needed in the organizations to reach these benefits. Such inputs can be visualized through the developed BDN. This study also aims to contribute to the academic literature whose subject is recent. It can be considered a practical guide to being applied in the companies that adopt these technologies.
