摘要：

The presence of the historical heritage and its capitalization represent a significant driver of the tourism activities and, also, for other economic activities. Paper analyzes the potential contribution of the historical heritage to the sustainable development of the local communities, under the framework created by the relationships between the historical heritage, tourism industry performances and contribution to the economic development, and from the perspective of the two specific models imposed by the practice: the Whole Village Concept and the Carpathian Convention.
