摘要
In this study, high density polyethylene and polypropylene were blended and foamed using azodicarbonamide as a chemical blowing agent, zinc oxide as an accelerator, and Kraton D1102 as a compatibilizer. Gardner impact resistance of injection molded samples is reported as a function of blend composition for foamed and unfoamed samples. The results show that Kraton addition had negligible effect on impact strength of unfoamed samples while foamed samples were more resistant. A change infracture behavior was also observed and related to the morphology of the material.
